The Current conductive arm is made with copper-clad steel plate to be as a rectangular hollow section (RHS) structure and widely used for steelmaking arc furnace, ladle refining furnace and electroslag remelter,etc. The outer

Plate has higher strength. The RHS arm is water cooled. On the new type
Conductive arm, the conventional copper tubes are disappeared. Nowadays, the current conductive arm serves the functions of supporting the electrode weight and of conductive element simultaneously．In general, the three
phase C-C arms are configurated at three apex points of triangle in space in
order to reach symmetrical distribution of three phase arc power．
